If you are lucky enough to have a room in your home that your can devote to your scrapbooking hobby, you are very lucky. Most people have to manage on a small space that they can use for their scrapbooking, or a small corner somewhere in the house where they can set up all their scrapbooking stuff.
If you are an avid scrapaholic, you will need a space somewhere in your home of your own to get creative. It is best to set up a place that you can go back to work easily, without having to pack everything away all the time. Here are some ideas you can use to make the most of the space that you do have.
Firstly, make sure that your scrapbooking space is light and airy. If you don’t have natural light, you will need to install a good light or lamp so that you don’t strain your eyes. There is nothing worse than trying to work with vibrant colors in a dusky sort of light.
You will also need a medium sized table or desk to work on and a comfortable chair that supports your back. A waste paper basket is also a must so that you can get rid of all the mess as you go along.
If you have a wall near where you are working, you needn’t waste the space. Get some shelves mounted to the wall to place all your tins, jars and boxes on. In this way you will have far more room on your table to work.
If you are short of space, try and use storage on wheels. There are many storage units on wheels that can be purchased, and then when you want to scrapbook, you just wheel the storage units to where you are working. There are also wonderful ways that you can store your scrapbooking stuff in a space saving manner. Try using pretty tins for things like buttons, and files with plasticsleeves to store your scraps of paper and stickers. See through jars are also great, as you won’t have to label them, and you will be able to spot everything at a glance. There are loads of plastic office products that can also be purchased with compartments and draws which make great storage for all your embellishments and papers.
With a little effort, you can create your own magical space where you can let your creative juices flow.

Even if you are thinking of stepping into this industry it will quickly bring you up to speed! It really lays out the basics and I’m keeping it to stay sharp on my skills when I decide to make parts at home.

Once the shop is established, it’s time to begin using typical wet- layup and molding techniques. The construction of these parts is documented in step-by-step fashion with an abundance of photographs – no step is left out. Any part created in a mold must be first removed from the mold, and second, finished and trimmed. You can keep your coins in a catalogue of sorts, which is simply a binder with plasticsleeves that hold your coins. This way you can easily view and examine your collection. If you have many very valuable coins, you should consider a secure safe or a safety deposit box.
Handling Gold Coins
Gold coins should be handled with cotton gloves, or at the very least, by their edges. Oils from your skin can alter the look of the coins or degrade them over time if they contain any alloys. You will also want to minimize the chance of them being scratched. Scratches on coins can decrease their value. It is not recommended that you polish your coins. Handling them as little as possible is the best course of action.
As your collection grows, you can rest assured that you are making a very sound investment in your future.
